People of Giacomazzi: Manuela, back office and personnel selection manager, introduces herself.

The “People of Giacomazzi” series continues, and this month we have a new interview to share: a fun chat with Manuela, also part of the third generation of Giacomazzi .

First we introduce it to you, and then we leave room for comparison.

Who is Manuela Giacomazzi?

Manuela is the cousin of Enrico and Ilaria Giacomazzi , whom we have already met here on our Blog through dedicated interviews, and is responsible for selecting staff at Giacomazzi stores .

In addition to dealing with human resources, Manuela is also active in back office activities , such as analyzing store sales data , useful for understanding how to implement targeted strategies for each store.

In short, let's just say he has his hands full at the company! 😉
Let's hear from her so we can get to know her better and understand her duties and responsibilities more closely.

The interview

  • Hi Manuela, would you like to tell us more about what you do at the company?

  • Good morning everyone, of course.

In the company, I am responsible for selecting and scheduling staff shifts at the various stores throughout Parma and the surrounding province.

In addition to this, I am responsible for analyzing both financial and logistics reports, monitoring inventory, availability, stock levels, and the quantities of raw materials and supplies required for production. In short, I passionately and attentively oversee an important aspect of the process that allows the laboratory and stores to always be efficient and secure, both in terms of human resources and production.

    • What do you love most about your job?

More than anything, I love teamwork and my passion for the industry. Through analysis and with Ilaria's help, who brings the feedback directly to the stores, I understand what changes to make to store management.

For us it is always a transformation , to make management leaner and more functional with the aim of improving the customer experience and satisfaction.

I love teamwork, and when you create synergies between collaborators, everything takes on a different flavor!

    • And the most difficult one?

Sometimes, it's really difficult to make decisions and reach conclusions that are sometimes imposed by the situation, against our will, or even opposed to our vision...

To give a very—alas—current example, organizing shifts and ensuring the opening of all stores with limited staff, which at the moment is truly the most complex aspect.

We are a historic yet dynamic and young company with truly open policies that put our employees at the center , yet we struggle to fill open positions with capable candidates.

    • We know that the values of craftsmanship, authenticity, and local tradition are fundamental to Giacomazzi srl. How do we convey these values to our store staff so they reach the customer?

We are committed to consistently communicating the importance of our company values to our employees, engaging them in explaining the ingredients and having them taste our products. We believe in training both on our corporate identity and our products, creating a cohesive team that shares a deep understanding and can convey who we are and what we do in a precise, calm, and professional manner.

We believe in emotion and in the story behind every product. We believe in highlighting artisanal processes, top-quality ingredients and raw materials, and in research and everything else that sets us apart.

    • What activities do you perform in your back office duties?

Among my back office duties, I also manage and control product sales prices, with all that this entails: stock levels, codes, departments...

    • We know you analyze store sales data to then develop, together with Ilaria, tailored strategies for each store. Would you mind explaining a little more?

Of course, although it is a very technical process that takes a lot of time and summarizing it might be difficult, but I will try!

First, I check actual quantities, sales, and customer traffic at individual stores.

Then I focus on individual purchases per store, that is, I study demand to offer an increasingly refined and targeted experience based on the needs, tastes, and preferences of users... to be ever closer to how our loyal customers would like us to be!

    Another strategic figure for Giacomazzi!

And so, after this interview, we also got to know another very important person in the Giacomazzi universe, another key role for the company and for customer experience and satisfaction.

Don't miss the next episode of "People of Giacomazzi"! 😉
